FounderHi, I am Kaka Zhang, a junior at Basis Independent Silicon Valley. I qualified for AMC 10 distinguished honor roll, tiebreaked at Caltech Math Meet, and placed no.8 in Berkeley Math Tournament general round. I love competitive math and math circles, and I believe that there is a more intuitive way to learn math that is applicable to the real world, and I am dedicated to bringing an enjoyable math experience to everyone.

Director of TechnologyI'm Nicholas Wang, a freshman at BASIS Independent Silicon Valley who enjoys coding and math. My favorite field in math would be Number Theory. I've done various math competitions such as the AMCs, AIME, BMT, etc. Aside from math, I like to experiment with APIs, work on coding projects, and participate in hackathons. In addition to just casual coding, I compete in algorithmic programming competitions such as USACO and ACSL. In addition to this, I also play both the Piano and the Cello.

I am currently taking six AP courses and two Honors courses, including AP Calculus BC, Physics, and Economics. I have been on the Distinguished Honor Roll for every trimester since fifth grade at Basis. I am an avid reader and have read thousands of fiction and nonfiction books. I also enjoy cycling, archery, and swimming. I believe that math is best learned by focus on mastering fundamentals with incremental progress.

InstructorHi, my name is Leo Zeng, and I'm a freshman at Basis Independent Silicon Valley. Math is my favorite subjects, and I've developed a passion for math since kindergarten. In terms of competitive math, I've qualified for AIME since 6th grade, I've gotten perfect score in AMC 8, and I got distinguished honor roll in AMC 10. Outside of math, I also love programming, chemistry, and physics. Some of my hobbies include playing the piano, reading, and playing video games. I also have some experience of being a tutor. Some of my passions are CS/AI, playing the piano, composing music. I find teaching to be a gratifying and enlightening experience, and I am also teaching piano to students outside of their regular classes.
